Incumbent will provide professional project management support for an Air Force Communications Group
Develop and manage detailed project plans, risk management plans, cost estimates and timelines
Negotiate and allocate resources in order to meet committed schedule/timelines to successfully meet deadlines, develop and work to an approved budget
Interface with senior management to communicate difficult information tactfully
Project management experience with emphasis on earned value management, risk management, performance reporting, and schedule development, control and execution
Facilitate meetings and manage multiple projects at one time
Write reports, business correspondence, cost estimates, briefs and procedural manuals
The Project Coordinator must possess the following qualifications:
Familiarity with IT functions utilized by systems administrators, network engineers, systems engineering, helpdesk/call center, desktop support and information assurance
Proficiency in MS Office including MS Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel and Visio
Knowledge of PC laptop and desktop hardware/software, Microsoft Vista/Windows 7, Blackberry, and Remedy 6.x and 7.x
Familiarity with NIPR/SIPR environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to travel throughout the National Capitol Region to include but not limited to Joint Base Andrews.
Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field) 5 years of experience; 3 years of professional experience for candidates with a Master's Degree; 6 years of experience for candidates without a Bachelor's Degree
Possess one or more of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security +, CompTIA Network +, CISSP, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
Preferred Skills
PMO experience with emphasis on project management standards and procedures
Working knowledge of Microsoft Project development and aggregated project performance reporting is preferred
Familiarity Project Management Institute (PMI) Processes and ITIL standards
